Donate professional clothes to students to kick start their careers!

Are you overdue for some spring-cleaning of those professional clothes you no longer wear, no longer fit or never see the light of day? Here’s your chance to donate them to our ‘Look the Part’ Clothing Drive!

Anti-poverty week is just around the corner (16-22nd October) and to raise awareness of issues relating to poverty and the hardships students experience, FUSA will be holding an Anti-Poverty Week event in the Plaza, 11am-2pm on 20th October.

Creating a professional wardrobe can be really expensive and if you don’t ‘look the part’ it can impact on your chances of gaining employment and working within a professional setting. Clothes donated will help give students the confidence to develop their professional appearance when attending job interviews and as they move forward in their careers.

A voluntary gold coin donation per item will be collected on the day with all funds raised going to the Magdalene Centre.

How to donate:
All clothing donations can be delivered during office hours to FUSA (Level 1, Student Hub) up until COB October 19. Please ensure clothes are clean and in good condition (no holes or stains).

The success of this initiative depends on the support of individuals, colleagues and students alike. We would really appreciate your support in this much needed area. For more information about Anti-Poverty Week check out our Facebook Event.
