  •  Award Categories

The award categories and criteria are outlined below. Please note that all awards should relate to the Club/Collective/Association's activities in 2022 only. It's important to ensure your nomination relates to the criteria below. Don't just tell us that the club is awesome, tell us why it's awesome (with specific examples). The quantity of nominations received for a particular Club/Collective/Association has no impact on determining the award winners; submitting a nomination with as much detail as possible will ensure the Club/Collective/Association has the best chance of winning the award.

    Most Active Club
Awarded to the Club, Collective or Association that has run the most events consistently, while maintaining consistent or high turnout to the events and activities. The assessment panel will take into consideration the number of events run this year, and the number students engaged.

Best Club Event, Activity or Project
Awarded to the Club, Collective or Association that has hosted the best event, activity or project in the calendar year. This will take into consideration uniqueness/creativity, the level of student engagement, and the impact upon both student life and the greater community. Note: where applicable, events and activities must have been registered with FUSA to be eligible.

    Best New Club
Awarded to a Club, Collective or Association that affiliated with FUSA for the first time in 2022 (or after the 1st of November 2021). The winner will be determined based upon the quality of their events/activities/projects, student/member engagement, and their contribution to the Flinders community.

    Most Improved Club
Awarded to the Club, Collective or Association that has shown the most improvement - either in numbers, activities or otherwise. The assessment panel will take into consideration all forms of improvement. Where possible, the panel will judge based upon measurable improvement, rather than perceived improvement or anecdotal evidence.

    Club of the Year
Awarded to the Club, Collective or Association that has consistently remained active, engaging, and fair for the majority of the year. The assessment panel will take into consideration the length of time the club has been affiliated, the level of student engagement, quality of events/activities, member recruitment, and anecdotal evidence (if applicable). Two awards (one for Clubs/Collectives and one for Academic Associations) will be determined.

    Club Member of the Year
This award is for a member of a Club, Collective or Association that has made an outstanding contribution to the Club community. The assessment panel will take into consideration how the member has assisted the Club, Collective or Association; projects driven/managed by the member; and their commitment toward the Club, Collective, Association. While service in previous years will be considered for this award, the member must have been active during the current year.

🫶Today we're celebrating the amazing accomplishments and contributions of our transgender and non-binary peers. Unfortunately, the community still faces discrimination while at uni, and across the country with current issues such as systemic deadnaming and misgendering, the recent anti-trans rally in Melbourne. Let's use today to raise awareness about these issues and promote inclusivity and support for trans students, through affirming their gender identities, and embracing their positions at Flinders. Together, we can make our campus a more welcoming and equitable space for everyone.🙌#TDOV#BESEEN
