WHAT IS FUSA?

The on-campus student organisation that exists for the purpose of representing students' rights and interests.

FUSA runs both social and advocacy services for students including academic advocacy, financial advocacy and other support, as well as housing the Student Council and looking after all of the non-sporting Clubs and Societies on campus.

Do you need to get your COVID-19 vaccination or booster shot?💉🙋 Good news! These are now available through the @flindersuniversity Health, Counselling & Disability Service! 🩺🧑‍⚕️

They are available to all Medicare card holders for free. Please note that at this stage only Pfizer is available.

FUSA is back open for business, however our office on campus will not be physically open. Our services are fully available online Monday through to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm! 👍💻

Our Financial Counselling and Academic Advocacy services are available through appointment via phone and Microsoft TEAMS.

FUSA is shutting up shop over the holiday season a

FUSA is shutting up shop over the holiday season and will close from 12:00pm on Friday 17th December 2021 and open again Monday January 10th 2022 👋

Our Financial Counselling and Academic Advocacy services will be unavailable during this period, and all emails sent to student.assist@flinders.edu.au will be responded to upon our reopening in January 2022. You can still contact us via out socials or at fusa@flinders.edu.au, and we'll get back to you upon our return in the new year!

If you are having financial difficulties, AnglicareSA are administering Emergency Financial Assistance on our behalf for enrolled Flinders University Students. AnglicareSA are available each weekday between 9.00am and 4.00pm, other than recognised Public Holidays 👍😌

The counselling service will be closed from 5:00pm Friday December 17th 2021 and will reopen 9:00am Monday January 10th 2022. The Out of Hours Crisis Line will be available 24/7 during this period.

Let's be the vacc-nation! 🩺💉Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones.

@fusastudentcouncil President Molly Turnbull and Welfare Officer Darlyn Tan-Sik rolled up their sleeves and are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to help protect our community!

Haven't received your first shot yet? Did you know you can walk in to get your vaccination at Priceline? You can speak to your local Pharmacist or GP if you have any questions or hesitations about getting vaccinated!

From picnics on the plaza, live music and free food, to dancing the night away at our annual Uni Ball, and the launch of Flinders University's wellbeing initiative the Good Vibes Experiment, 2021 has been jam packed!

As well as this, we've supported students via emergency financial assistance, and the roll out of financial support grants for both domestic and international students! 👍💰

PLUS, your Student Council has accomplished so much this year, but here's some neat things just to name a few:

Today is International Day of People with Disabili

Today is International Day of People with Disabilities! This day is a special time to celebrate the achievements and contributions as well as increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability.

To celebrate, we're thrilled to share with you the exciting projects we’ve led with FUSA Student Council Disabilities Officer Anu in order to improve the experiences of students with disabilities here at Flinders:

➡️ A permanent Disabilities Space in the Library
➡️ Updated Adaptive Technology Rooms in the Library
➡️ Basketball Wheelchairs
➡️ Accessible toilet and shower at the gym

FUSA has been working for many years to secure a permanent Disabilities Space where students can study, relax, socialise, and make new friends. In 2021, this project has finally become a reality! 🏆 All renovations are now completed and we are in the final stages of furnishing the space, which is located on Level 1 of the Library and will be officially opened at the beginning of Semester 1, 2022 with a launch party! 🎉

This project, along with the many others, signify the dedication of FUSA, Flinders University Sport & Fitness and Flinders University to embracing and celebrating diversity. Every one of these projects has an amazing backstory which you can read all about from the Link in our Bio!
