Development Grants 2023

Development Grants: Applications Opening Soon!

“Many thanks for your support in the form of a FUSA Development Grant which contributed towards my attendance at the Sleep DownUnder 2022 conference. At this conference I had the opportunity to chair a council session, co-chair a scientific presentation session and present some of my PhD work. It was an extremely valuable experience.” – Nicole, PhD student

It’s time to level up!

In 2023, FUSA is offering grants of up to $750 per eligible student to help with your professional development!

Things are a little different this year, so if you want to learn how FUSA will help you to level up read on.

The major application round in semester 1 open 27 February 2023 and close 20 March 2023. A supplementary round will be held to disburse any remaining semester 1 funds in April.

The activity you would like funding for should occur in 2023.

Applications are invited for professional development opportunities linked to your area of study or student leadership.

Applications will be assessed by panel against the following criteria

      • how well the proposed activity matches the Grant Eligibility Criteria
      • demonstrated merit or benefit of the proposed activity for the applicant’s professional development
      • the quality of the application.

The panel will aim for a balanced representation of students based on campus location, areas of study, gender, proportions of undergraduate and postgraduate recipients, and other criteria as determined by the assessment panel at its discretion.
