Orientation Student Creative Advisers

Orientation is a huge explosion of creativity for all to experience, transforming the uni.
FUSA is looking for students to help shape our Orientation program!

By being an Orientation Student Creative Adviser, you’ll help brainstorm and co-create the Orientation 2024 design. You’ll leave a positive footprint on your university by helping new students find their feet and connect with each other. You’ll also gain amazing professional experience!

You don’t need previous experience; everyone is welcome to apply – an interest in creative fields such as graphic design and event design is encouraged.

Honorarium

1 x $50 Gift Voucher per workshop.

Please submit your application by 5pm Friday 25 August.

Responsibilities
  • Attend and contribute to creative sessions from September to October 2023.
  • Work to develop ideas for theme and visual branding.
  • Offer advice on orientation events and
  • Actively participate, contribute to discussion, and prioritise student experience throughout your involvement.
Prerequisites
  1. Be a currently enrolled student at Flinders University.
  2. Be available for a short interview between the 28th of August to 1st of September. 
  3. Be available for the majority of sessions:
    • Thursday 14 September
    • Thursday 05 October
    • Thursday 26 October
  1. Have a strong interest in marketing, design, and/or events.
  2. Be able to contribute as a team member to the process of generating ideas and concepts for orientation events and activities.
  3. Have effective verbal communication skills including the ability to convey opinions in a constructive manner in a team
Commitment

September 2023 – October 2023 (approximately 6 hours of meetings during tenure, meetings will range between 1-2 hours).
