WHAT IS FUSA?

The on-campus student organisation that exists for the purpose of representing students' rights and interests.

FUSA runs both social and advocacy services for students including academic advocacy, financial counselling and other support, as well as housing the Student Council and looking after Clubs and Student Communities on campus.

Empire Times, your student magazine, is looking for new editors for 2026! 👩‍💻✍️

As an editor of ET, you’ll have the chance to develop your own ideas, build professional skills, and leave your mark on one of the longest-running student publications in South Australia. You don’t need to be an expert designer or professional writer — just organised, creative, and passionate about amplifying student voices.

You have until midnight Sunday 14 September to submit your Expression of Interest via the online form. Based on your responses, FUSA will interview candidates for editorial roles. No need to find a team of editors.

Create your own ‘seed bombs’ using a mixture of clay, compost and your choice of native or herb seeds.⁠
⁠
Once dried, these bombs can then be tossed into your garden or pot. No need to dig them in, the rain (or your watering) will do the work to melt the clay and reveal the seeds and compost within, starting your own native or herb patch! ⁠

Give your pre-loved clothes, accessories and books a second life by swapping them at the Flinders Community Swap Market! 👚👗♻️

It’s a great way to declutter, discover unique treasures, and connect with others while saving money and reducing waste.

Choose to donate ahead of time at the designated donation sites at Bedford Park or City Campus, or just bring your things on the day.

After shopping, grab yourself a refreshing soft-serve ice cream or snack – for free!

⭐️ Donate up to 5 items per person to the dedicated drop off point at FUSA Office Bedford Park or Welcome Hub Level 1 City Campus by 29 August. ⁠
⭐️ Enter the prize draw via QR Code⁠
⭐️ Attend the event Tuesday 2 September 11am - 3pm at Flinders City Campus to pick up some new threads. (PS you don't have to donate to attend the event)⁠
