To give your nominee the best chance of success, make sure your nomination clearly addresses the judging criteria outlined in the Award Categories section.

Nominations close: Sunday 21 September 2025

Winners will be announced at the FUSA Club Awards Night, which will be held on Tuesday 28 October (Week 12 of semester). All members of FUSA-affiliated Clubs, whether executives, committee members or general members, are encouraged to attend!

  • Award Categories

The award categories and criteria are outlined below. Please note that all awards should relate to the Club's activities in 2025 only. Please consider the criteria below. Don't just tell us that the club is awesome, tell us why it's awesome (with specific examples). The quantity of nominations received for a particular Club has no impact on determining the award winners; submitting a nomination with as much detail as possible will ensure the Club has the best chance of winning the award.

    Club of the Year
Awarded to the Club that has consistently remained active, engaging, and fair for the majority of the year. The assessment panel will take into consideration the length of time the club has been affiliated, the level of student engagement, quality of events/activities, member recruitment, and anecdotal evidence (if applicable). Two awards (one for academic Clubs and one for all other Clubs) will be awarded.

    Club Member of the Year
This award is for a member of a Club who has made an outstanding contribution to the Clubs community. The assessment panel will take into consideration how the member has assisted the Club, projects driven or managed by the member, and their commitment toward the Club. While service in previous years will be considered for this award, the member must have been active during the current year.

    Best Club Executive Committee
Awarded to the Club with an executive team that has demonstrated outstanding leadership, organisation, and teamwork. The assessment panel will consider how well the committee has managed the Club’s operations, delivered events and activities, supported members, and maintained strong internal communication and collaboration. Nominations should include specific examples of how the executive worked effectively as a team to achieve goals and support the Club’s success.

    Best New Club
Awarded to a Club that affiliated with FUSA for the first time in 2025 (or after the 1st of September 2024). The winner will be determined based upon the quality of their events/activities/projects, student/member engagement, and their contribution to the Flinders community.

    Most Improved Club
Awarded to the Club that has shown the most improvement, either in numbers, activities or otherwise. The assessment panel will take into consideration all forms of improvement. Where possible, the panel will judge based upon measurable improvement, rather than perceived improvement or anecdotal evidence.

    Most Active Club
Awarded to the Club that has run the most events consistently, while maintaining consistent or high turnout to the events and activities. The assessment panel will take into consideration the number of events run this year, and the number of students engaged.

Best Club Event, Activity or Project
Awarded to the Club that has hosted the best event, activity or project in the calendar year. This will take into consideration uniqueness/creativity, the level of student engagement, and the impact upon both student life and the greater community. Note: where applicable, events and activities must have been registered with FUSA to be eligible.

    Best Club Merch
Awarded to the Club that has produced the most creative and well-executed merchandise. This includes items that reflect the Club’s identity, promote engagement, and are visually appealing or widely worn. The assessment panel will consider originality, design quality, relevance to the Club, and on-campus visibility. Supporting images and context are encouraged.

    Best Marketing Material
Awarded to a Club for a single piece of promotional content, print or digital, that was original, visually engaging, and effective in meeting its goals. This could include posters, videos, social media posts, newsletters, websites, or similar. The assessment panel will consider design quality, creativity, distribution, and engagement or impact relative to the intended audience. Supporting examples are encouraged.

Create your own ‘seed bombs’ using a mixture of clay, compost and your choice of native or herb seeds.

Once dried, these bombs can then be tossed into your garden or pot. No need to dig them in, the rain (or your watering) will do the work to melt the clay and reveal the seeds and compost within, starting your own native or herb patch!
